Busch Gardens in Tampa (I-4 West) and the Kennedy Space Center/Cape Canavaral (I-4 East) are both 1 hour away. Should you wish to venture snorkeling/scuba diving for the day, Crystal River/Rainbow River are only 90 minutes north-west and worth the trip. As a certified PADI diver with 2 teens who are avid snorkelers, I highly recommend American Pro Dive Center who offer many options in this beautiful area outside of Orlando.
